Rare gold coin from the reign of Napoleon III, full name Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, was the nephew of Napoleon I. He was the last reigning monarch of France. Famous for expanding the borders of the French Empire during his reign, he created a more extensive and longer network of railroads, which, coupled with Napoleon III's changes in the agricultural sector, led France to defeat famine and become a major food supplier in the world. Charles Louis also modernized and updated the banking sector and the entire financial system of the country.
