To celebrate its 125th anniversary, the Perth Mint is releasing a unique coin with outstanding aesthetics and deep detail. The commemorative coin features three iconic Australian animals: the koala, kangaroo and cockabarra.
The obverse features a portrait of King Charles III, the name of the issuing country AUSTRALIA and the coin's face value of 1 DOLLAR.
The reverse features a koala, kangaroo and cockabarra artfully assembled in a golden wattle, which is the national floral emblem of Australia. The years 1899 and 2024 are minted on the band, marking 125 years of operation of the Perth Mint. The coin's weight, proof, date of issue and mint mark "P125" complete the design.
